BoSoma Dance Company’s 16th Annual Fall Season offers an inspiring evening of new works choreographed by Artistic Director, Katherine Hooper, highlighting the athleticism and grace of the BoSoma dancers. Experience the passion, power, and versatility of the company dancers through one duet, two trios, and three group pieces.
Company dancers Tony Tucker and Julia Amaral perform a sultry, latin inspired duet which winds through space with spiraling lifts and turns as the story of their relationship reveals itself on stage to the majestic music of Secession Studios. The evening will also include, Save Me, performed by Stephanie Boisvert, Angela Zaccardi and Kelsye Chevalier, a trio of women finding power in numbers and strength through music and dance. Hooper’s newest group work, Parachute, is a powerful display of explosive movement, spatial design, and skirtography. The brilliant colored costumes made of lightweight parachute fabric, designed by Jennifer Greeke of Harpy Fashions, creates the feeling of floating and diving through space. Hooper’s group piece Keys in Black and White, will also round out the night along with the debut of a second trio.
