Denis Murphy is a Senior Vice President of Investor Services at the private bank Brown Brothers Harriman & Co. and holds a B.A. in History from Boston College.  He joined BoSoma in 2015, served as the Treasurer and is now President of the Board.  Growing up in New Jersey, his appreciation of dance was first instilled by his father, a frequent attendee of the New York City Ballet and continued with his wife, a dancer herself and now a dance teacher.  Denis is excited to be part of a dynamic and different dance company in BoSoma that is bringing a unique style to the greater Boston arts community.

Amy Giammarco-Moquin has been part of the BoSoma community for many years both as a "dance mom" at BoSoma School of Dance and Board Member for the BoSoma Youth Company. She has over 20 years of in-home childcare experience and ran the childcare program for the Studio 13 fitness classes at BSD. An accomplished vocalist, Amy can be heard singing in local venues, contests, and fundraisers across the North Shore. She has competed in local competitions and high-profile events such as Stars Over Boston, Community Auditions, and the Talent Quest TV show. Amy is a Co-Founder of Total Arts!, a Peabody, MA based business that provides interdisciplinary workshops to children and adults in the fine & performing arts.

Margaret Falcone has been a dancer with BoSoma Dance Company since 2019. She is currently the Administrative Coordinator for the Boston Conservatory at Berklee Dance Division. Margaret serves as the dancer representative on the Board of Directors.

Drew Hammond has served as President (3 years) and board member at Chorus pro Musica for 4 years.  He has a deep interest in music and the arts.  He has been a choral singer for the better part of 37 years.  Drew’s career has spanned technical writing, software project and program management and enterprise software service sales and delivery.  He has worked for companies such as Digital Equipment Corp, BBN, GTE and EMC.  He has a BA in English and an M.Ed and is currently working on an MS in Management.  “I believe that BoSoma represents hard work, dedication and excellence in the dance community.  It is a pleasure working with, and learning from, people who can add so much by educating children and providing a quality artistic audience experience."

Katherine Hooper, Owner, an Essex local, began her dance training at RDS Performing Arts in Dover, MA and continued her professional training at the University of North Carolina, then finished her BFA at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, Five College Dance Program. As an undergraduate, she co-developed an Arts Collective and an Improvisation Group while producing, directing and choreographing 2 full-scale productions. Following graduation, Katherine moved to Colorado where she co-founded Performance Works, Ltd., a contemporary dance and theatre company. In 2005, she was acknowledged by Boston Uncommon Magazine as ‘One to Watch’. Since 2005, Katherine has been commissioned to set work on the Lee Lund Dance Company, in Connecticut, for their annual pre-professional concert. On an annual basis, she teaches master classes at various New England area Universities, Colleges and Dance Studios, most recently at Plymouth State University, NH and Beth Walsh Dance Studio, MA. Katherine opened Mass Motion Dance North in Peabody in 2010.  In 2014, she was awarded the ‘Support Your Studio’ grant by the Dizzy Feet Foundation for her commitment to bringing dance to the local community through teaching and performances and for her passionate teaching within her studio inspiring young dancers of all levels to achieve their best through dance. As the recipient of this award, the Mass Motion Dance faculty and students received a workshop and master class with Season 9 So You Think You Can Dance winner, Chehon Wespi-Tschopp. Katherine is the Owner of BoSoma School of Dance, with locations in Hamilton & Georgetown, MA.
