Directed by Katherine Hooper, BoSoma Dance Company presents an evening of compelling contemporary works, concluding the company’s 23rd Annual Season. Set in Beverly’s historic Cabot, the show takes viewers through a journey of embracing uniqueness, encountering change, and celebrating unity.

 

The program features works by company members Tony Tucker and Jess Rose White, plus guest choreographers Chantal Kelleher and Johanna Kepler. White’s Under Pressure, set to Queen, explores 1980s geopolitics and internal struggle. Kelleher’s Salad Days, set to Avicii, focuses on individuality and self-discovery. What the Water Remembers is a contemporary work examining disconnection in a technology-driven world. Using water as a motif for memory and intuition, the choreography traces a journey from modern chaos to natural renewal and hope, inviting the audience to rediscover meaning and community. The performance also sees the return of Hooper’s Pathos, following its Boston debut in March 2026, and the premiere of her new work Horizons. Closing the evening is Tucker’s high energy piece, Freakquency, which blends contemporary and Haitian styles to reflect on shaping the future.
